Harnessing Vietnam's Renewable Energy Potential
AMI AC Renewables was established on November 29, 2017, from the cooperation between AMI Renewables of Vietnam and AC Energy of the Philippines. AC Energy is the energy development platform of Ayala Group - one of the largest and oldest corporations in the Philippines.
AMI Renewables joined the resource development support program by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and GIZ organization (Germany) to search and examine resources and opportunities for renewable energy development in Vietnam since 2011.
AMI AC Renewables focuses on activities: investment, development and operation of renewable energy.
With the goal of Construction and operation with a total capacity of 1000MW of renewable energy by 2025, we set out a strategy to focus resources to deploy large-scale wind power projects.
In September 2020, AMI AC Renewables started the B&T wind power project cluster with a total capacity of 252 MW, a total investment of VND 8,900 billion.
AMI AC Renewables also intends to construct a portfolio of projects within the next 5 years: July 2020, a cluster of 202.5 MW wind power projects of AMI AC Renewables In Dak Lak province, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province has requested the Prime Minister to supplement the national electricity planning. In November 2020, the AMI AC Binh Thuan offshore wind power plant cluster project, with a capacity of 1,800MW, was requested by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province to the Prime Minister for consideration and policy for making research and survey documents. Monitor, prepare documents for inclusion in the list of national electricity planning projects (Electricity Master Plan VIII).
